David L. Bury Jr.

Mr. Bury, an Associate, practices in the areas of commercial litigation, bankruptcy, and business and corporate law. His experience includes litigating business disputes in state and federal courts; representing debtors, creditors, and other interested parties in out-of-court workouts and bankruptcy cases; and advising businesses and their owners on general and transactional matters.

Mr. Bury joined Stone & Baxter, LLP in March of 2010. Before returning home to Middle Georgia, he was an associate at Tuggle Duggins & Meschan, P.A., a full service firm in Greensboro, North Carolina. He was a member of their Business & Tax and Bankruptcy practice groups. 

Mr. Bury received his law degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law in 2006, where he served as a Notes and Comments Editor on the Wake Forest Law Review and a teaching assistant in the writing program. Before law school, he was a management consultant at a Chicago-based firm where he advised various Fortune 500 companies.

Mr. Bury received a B.B.A. in Accounting and Finance from the University of Georgia in 1999, where he was a Georgia Governor’s Scholar, a University of Georgia Alumni Scholar, and a recipient of the Honors Program Certificate of Achievement.

Mr. Bury is admitted to practice in the State and Appellate Courts of Georgia, the United States District Courts for the Middle and Northern Districts of Georgia. He is also admitted to practice in North Carolina.
